ETF Trading Guidelines
Before trading any ETF or ETF model please remember a few key guidelines:
- Always place limit orders rather than market orders, and avoid stop loss orders.
- Avoid trading around market open or market close.
- Try and avoid trading when the markets for the underlying ETF holdings are closed.
- Get help. Contact the capital markets desk for the ETF(s) you are trading or talk to your custodian’s ETF execution desk. They can all help facilitate the best execution for clients.
